This is another reason that I hope I move.. very soon!!

Last night we did Karaoke night for Mutual. Before we started singing we had lesson about the importance of listening to good, and positive music. She told me that I shouldn't listen to depressing music. Well that's good to know! Now I'm going to listen to my "emo" play list. After that interesting lesson we started singing. Nobody wanted to sing alone so we went up in pairs. Cam wanted to sing Bowling for Soup's snazzy song " 1985". That was the only song that I knew all the words to so I went up with her. Everyone sang along with us until we got to the part where he talks about her shaking her azz on the top of the car. Guess who forgot to stop at that part? Yup! That's right. Me ! It took me a second to realize what I had said. When I looked around I could see all the girls looking slack-jawed at me. Finally to break the silence Cam said,"You see, this is what happens when you listen to music with bad lyrics. You say things that yo...

M&M trail mix goodness!

I don't really like hiking. The reason for that is that I always trip, get bitten by bugs, and crash into trees. I'm not kidding either! But if they bring M&M trail mix I'm in! My love for M&M trail mix began two years ago at H-E-B camp. We went with our home school group. On the first day there we had to go hiking, and identify a bunch of insects. I was groaning to myself as they passed out the water, and trail mix. I wasn't a big fan of trail mix, I thought it was way too salty. But who cares what I think? So we started the hike after we took some pictures. By the middle of the trail I was scratched from head to toe from falling. I also crashed into a couple low branches on the way back to camp. By the time we stopped to snack, the M&M's were melted. It was pretty hard to eat! But the second I was able to get some in my mouth it seemed as if all my problems just melted away. Then I was able to make it back without anymore injuries! I love M&M tra...

The stories behind my "emo" wear!

Image
Belt: I bought the black "emo" belt a couple weekends ago. I was wearing my black outfit so I bought it. I love this one more than the old one. I mean come on, it's black! I finally found my old "emo" belt ! Shoes: These are my "emo" shoes!! We went to the park, and they got muddy! My poor shoes! In my eyes cleaning my shoes when they're dirty shows my affection. But my Mom says I'm gross. Nail polish: I have been looking for black nail polish since Halloween. We couldn't find any, anywhere we went! My Mom said that an "emo" convention probably came through town. Well I did notice a ton of people in "emo" wear. When my Mom came home from the store she revealed the wonders of black nail polish ! I painted my nails quickly before church, and then I put orange dots to look like flames. Um.. It didn't turn out very well. So that's the history behind my "emo" wear! Interesting stories right?

That's totally not the reason for my chapped lips!

My Dad told me I should Blog this.... I love the cold! But I always get chapped lips, and hands. So as I was talking to Cam yesterday I mentioned the condition of my lips. When I told her she laughed, and said,"That's because you were kissing with those hot boys yesterday! There are consequences you know!" What?! I exclaimed in surprise, almost dropping my water. She, and her friend Em laughed at my reaction. Then of course I told them about what happened Wednesday. Here's the story...... Buster's activity had been cancelled, so he was just waiting for me to be done with mine. He said that he was wandering around, then our friend Jamie took pity on him, and invited Buster to his activity (video game night!). On our way home Buster couldn't stop talking about Guitar Hero 3. I had to admit it sounded really fun. But after he had settled down he got very solemn, as he told me "Sunbum, when I was walking past the bathroom I passed three different people kiss...

Sweet Miss Sunbum's Blog Post!

I've been reading a really awesome ghost story. It has a very interesting plot! But there's a problem. Yesterday my Mom started the book, when the rest of us were at church. Now she's hooked, and I can't read the ending! Well I guess this is a great time to work on my patience. I like to finish things before others, so I know what happens first! So instead of reading I'm posting this. Isn't that exciting?!! The book is called, Sweet Miss Honeywell's Revenge . Scary title right? *Ooooohhhhh* (I just took the book from Mom's room! Ha!)

The story of Sunbum

This post is dedicated to Lesee! So here is the story behind the name Sunbum! I went through a really "hippy" phase about two years ago. I wanted to be a real "hippy" , so I needed a name! My Mom was Sister Strippy because she wears a lot of stripes! But I didn't have anything. I was really bummed. *gag* Anyway so I was going through my science book, and there it was! The perfect name for me! Well actually it was sebum! Of course I misread it as Sunbum. I excitedly made it Sister Sunbum . That was my nickname for a while, until I went all "emo". I hung up the name, thinking that I would never use it again. But the day I started my Blog I took it down again! Then my screen name became Sunbum (my secret identity).... Weird story right?

The first ever group of "Girl Scout" boys!

When "Aquamarine" came out I begged my parents to get it at Blockbusters. Buster started groaning, and said,"I don't want to watch "Aquamarine", it's a girly movie! And I'm a boy!" The girls dominate in our family, so we won. Well guess who was sitting in front of the T.V, with his mouth dropped open, watching the movie like it was the most interesting thing ever. Buster! After we finished the movie all of my sisters, and I were talking about how much we loved it. Buster jumped into the conversation and said,"That movie was the best movie like ever!" The next day when he came home from Boy Scouts, he told us he told the boys in his troop,"Guy's yesterday I watched "Aquamarine"! It was so totally awesome!" To my surprise the other boys agreed with him, and then they started talking about other chick flicks they liked to watch. Um.. Hello boys this is not Girl Scouts! You're supposed to be hiking, and camping...

I did it! I did it! I really did it! *awed amazement*

I finally did a cartwheel today!! We were supposed to do a cartwheel, and then kick the punching-bag. Kevin, our teenage teacher had to stand behind it, and hold it. I was the first in line, and I kick really hard, so he was pushed back by the force! I am so proud of myself! Not only did I kick high, but I finally accomplished my goal! I didn't even fall on my bottom once! How's that for you? Well.....time to go practise again! *practically skipping with joy*

Here that? I'm his favorites! Yay me!

The next book club meeting is next week! We are going to read "Stargirl" again! Bro. Smothers loves that book, so we read it every semester! I've read that book many times, and I've just read the sequel. They're both really good books by "Jerry Spinelli"! He is also one of my favorite authors. Anyway I was talking to Mona yesterday, and she was telling me that she was over at Mormon Drama Queen's house (my best friend, and one of Bro. Smothers daughters!). So she said that he asked if she was going to go to their ward on Sunday, and she said,"No, I'm going to my ward. But Sunbum's in my ward!" She said the Bro. Smothers got really excited, and told her,"Sunbum! She's my favorites person in the whole world! Tell her I said hi!!" No worries, I got the message!! Of course I did, he asked Mona to tell me!...

This is the best book ever!

I just read the best book ever!!! I know I have said that many times before, but this time I'm positive! It's called "The Seer and The Sword". How did I come across this wonderful book? I will tell you.... I was at the library, and everyone was outside waiting for me. I couldn't find anything that looked remotely interesting, and when I did it was always the middle of a series, or something that my Mom wouldn't approve of! I was rushing to find a book by that point, I turned around and there it was shining in it's plastic cover! I quickly took it down, and practically ran to the checkout (I would have, but I went down the stairs!). When I reached the truck my Mom sarcastically said,"Well it took you long enough!" So that's the fateful story that brought me to my new favorite book!

Sunbum's spiritual thought!

I know that I don't usually Blog about anything spiritual at all. But today is the day that I let loose! (Hm.. Apparently Churchy is not a word! Can you believe that?!) This year I've decided to start writing poems! I'm not really sure why that came to me, considering that I despise reading poems. But I will do it! Then my next goal is to finish the Book of Mormon! When I was reading Enos last night this part stuck with me,"Then shall I see his face with pleasure, and he will say unto me: Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father."(To read the rest go to Enos 1:27) As I was thinking about that, I decided that that's exactly what I want too. I will do all I can to achieve that! That's probably the biggest goal I've ever set for myself! So that is my spiritual thought for 1-11-08.

Seventh grade going on fourth....

I have terrible news! Yesterday I found out that for the past four months I've been doing fourth grade math! No wonder it was so easy! I thought it was all middle school work, but now I know it wasn't! I can't believe that I didn't notice! Now I'm doing another curriculum, that is seventh grade level. *Sigh* This is the biggest mistake I have ever made!

Surprisingly I wasn't Kung-Fu falling today!!

Last night was the third Kung-Fu class! I can finally reach the high bar, and I can almost do the splits. I'm so glad I didn't quite the first time, because now it's not so hard! This week I have to learned how to do cartwheels. *sigh* I fell on my booty many times. I haven't read any really good books lately. But finally I found one. It's called "Magyk" it's from a series called "Septimus Heap". It is really good! These are the names of my future sons: Edward Jeremy, Septimus James, Matthias Peter, and Liam Leven. I know those are kind of weird names, but those names are my favorite guy characters from books. Well actually Jeremy is because I love that 'Pearl Jam' song, and I've always liked James. Sorry all these things are really random.

Wait! What did you say they were eating??!!

This is proof that not only am I "emo" I'm also very, very dorky! I have read the book "Surviving Antarctica" many times. So I know the story by heart. In one part a boy named Robert, and his family had to eat moccasins to survive the harsh times. I thought they were talking about the shoes, I never really ever gave that a thought again. Well until a couple months ago when I was learning about snakes, in the middle of the page I saw that moccasins are poisonous kind of snake! Then I remembered the book and asked myself," Hm...Were they eating snakes, or shoes?" I couldn't decide. So I asked my Mom. This is what she said," Did you really believe that they were eating their shoes?! *hysterical laughing* Wait aren't moccasins poisonous?" I rolled my eyes, and read it again. It was snakes! (I could never eat either of those things, I think I would die eating it! Would you be able to handle it?)

I almost fainted, but my Prince Charming didn't come to sweep my off my feet!! (because I already was off my feet!)

Today was my first ever Kung-Fu lesson. As you all know I'm very clumsy. No not like the Fergie song! I fell in the first exercise, I knew that was a bad sign. Even though I fall all the time, this was different! So we were doing the instructor told us to do, and then he wanted us to start moving our arms around in circles. My arms were screaming in protest! Then the room started spinning, I couldn't move anymore, then I collapse. The instructor told me to wait by the door, then he got a chair for me. Now I'm going to quote what he said,"You no exercise!" This was my simple reply,"No. *ashamed face*" So I sat there ashamed, then I thought,"Sunbum if your siblings can do it so can you!" Then I painfully got up and finished the lesson with them. *Sigh* The next lessons Friday. I'm going to be practicing a lot till then. Well time to go practice. If I can still feel my fingers after Friday I'll Blog about the second lesson!

Hm... Well it's shorter than the original! *cough*

I just wrote a really long post about my New Years eve. When I went through it I thought to myself," What in the world are you babbling on about?! Nobody has time to read about your whole evening! Face it you're not even interested." Okay, okay I'm going to give a short summary of my evening. Happy now?! Yesterday morning I went with my Dad to the grocery store, and Blockbusters. I strongly recommended "Stardust", and "Harry Potter". Well now you can guess what we got. I wanted to get "Stardust because my Mom bought me the book a couple months ago, but when they started doing "things" I decided not to read it anymore. Thankfully the movie wasn't like that at all. My whole family loved it! My Dad even recommend that we buy it so we can watch it over and over again (I liked the idea). Sorry I forgot I'm trying keeping this "short ". Anyway so Dad took us to get fireworks, and Mom said that we were crazy, because it...
