The Importance of Being Lauren

*Warning: This post contains a lot of exclamation points, and it's probably not totally grammatically correct! One of the best parts for me is that mom was able to drive us to camp this year!!!! And what made it better was that my friend Cameo rode with us!!!!! I had so much fun singing/talking with my mom, Cammie, and Monkey on the way there, and then showing my mom around camp when we got there!!!! Okay on to the Girls Camp part: Girls Camp was amazing!!! I learned so many things, and since this year we focused on unity I was able to make a lot of friends outside of the 3rd year girls. As I told you in my last post, our theme was W.O.W (Women of Worth). We learned about having “The Hawaiian Spirit” on the first day, and the leaders challenged us to be nice to everyone by smiling and say "Aloha" to everyone we saw. I was pretty much the only girl who did that throughout the whole week!!! And then I took it to the next level..... I woke up before everyone in the mornings ...

My taco salad didn't look quite like the one above.....It looked ten times better!!! My family thinks that my "taco salad making skills" need work. I can't say that I agree with their opinion though, I mean I didn't miss any of the ingredients like I usually do. So that proves that I'm getting better already. Adam is one of my favorite contestants this season on American Idol, and um.....I love his hair, and the way he dresses. I was so glad that he made it and not Nick/Norman Gentle. I didn't think Nick/Norman was funny I thought he was totally annoying, he did have an okay voice but I could only stand his performances if I just listened and averted my eyes from the TV to save myself from being embarrassed for him....... I have a camp out tonight for Girls Camp certification!!! Usually I pack so much stuff that I can barely lift my bags off the ground, but this time I packed light. I actually packed less then my sister!!!! All of my stuff fit in a ba...

Whoo!!! Girls Camp was the awesomest!!! Although it went way too fast. :( I learned so many things this year, and I also made a bunch of friends! On the way home Jazzy and I wrote new lyrics to The Sound of Music songs, and sang a butt load of other musical. We also did Rich Man, shaking included. It was a lot of fun. *I didn't get any major injuries at camp, most of them came on the way home!*

As usual I'm surprised that everything fit in my duffel bag! I started packing Monday night and didn't finish until last night. Last year I could barely get it off the ground, but this year I'm bringing my "Butt Purse" to put everything I couldn't fit in my duffel bag in, sadly I still can only get it a couple inches off the carpet and I hobble when I have to walk with it. "Butt Purse" is amazingly awesome, I'll post a picture of it when I get back! Whoo! I'm so ready for Girls Camp!!

It's only two weeks until Girls Camp! With my excitement comes the fears of forgetting my toothbrush again, or not packing enough underwear. Last year I had a dream that I forgot to pack underwear, so that's why I'm scared I'll forget one of the most important things! Have any of you had the pre-camp fear?

As most of you know I'm completely and utterly obsessed with my teeth. But does anybody know why? Nope. But I'm going to write about it today. So then you can say,"Pshaw, I knew that a long time ago. That's so old news." Do want to be able to say that? If you do read on.... The disgusting reason why I'm obsessed..... .. Last year when I went to Girls Camp I made list after list of things to bring. After all my preparing, and craziness I forgot to list an very important essential. My toothbrush !!!! Of course when actually remembered it I was well on my way to camp. Needless to say I panicked. But sadly I couldn't do anything but worry. For the whole week I had to clean mouth with mouth wash! It was absolutely horrid. I was afraid to talk to anybody, in fear that they would comment on my breath, or die because it was so bad. I was so thankful when my secret sister gave me mint gum. The moment I got home I made a solemn promise that I would never do that...

At Girls camp my secret sister gave me really nice bubble bath mix, candy, and a magic towel . I had never even heard of a magic towel before . When I got home I put everything I got in my dresser, well hidden. Over the next couple months I kept finding the magic towel every were I turned. I had forgotten that I kept moving it. Duh! About a week ago I had finished everything required of me. I didn't want to read (that was a first for me), it was too hot outside to play, and I was just sitting on the floor staring at my new Leven Thumps book. The closet was open, and when I looked up I saw the unopened wonder of the magic towel . I called my sister Monkey in and said," Hey do you want to grow a towel with me." Apparently she was bored too. She bounced up and down excitedly and shouted,"Yes! I would love to grow a magic towel ." So I went to the sink and opened the chunk shaped as a pineapple, and dumped it in the warm water. It was like watching the grass grow!...
