Top Three Worst Christmas Songs Ever Created, Recorded, And Sold!!!!

Whoo!!!! It's 8 days until Christmas!!!! I'm so excited but at the same time I'm totally confused!! I still feel full from Thanksgiving!!! Anyway since finishing school for the semester my crazy creative juices have begun to flow again! Um...I've been focusing them on a writing contest for the local library. Let’s just say the short story I'm writing is very interesting....And super duper crazy! Okay, so I got sidetracked and forgot what I was going to write....Oh, yeah now I remember...Today I'm going to write about the 3 worst Christmas songs ever created. Now without further ado, my list of songs: 3) Santa Baby : This song could very well be number 1 but sadly the world has been polluted with worse. No matter how many times this stinky song is covered it is still terrible, horrible, no good, very bad song! I'm serious. I have never met a person who could stand to listen to that song after the actual singing starts. It's horrid! I'm considering bum

I LOVE MY DENTIST!!!!! <3

I love my dentist!!!!!!! He is so nice and perky!!!! He cleaned up my "pearly-not-so-whites" today!!!!!! As soon as I got there he inquired, "And how are you today m'lady?" He is so awesome!!! <3!!!!!!!!!! We watched the cooking channel on TV while he worked on my teeth. It was amazingly awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said funny things while polishing, and talked about food a lot and his cute family!!!!!!!!! Awww......He's so awesome!!! *P.S. Mom I want that shirt that says "I Love My Dentist" for Christmas! Thanks! :)

My Favorite Christmas Song Ever!! <3

I'M BORING!!!

I'm boring!!! And sadly I know it! School hath sucked my creativeness out of me! :( Maybe after my final is over tonight I'll get some of it back!

Behold, My Forgetfulness Is Amazingly Awesome!!!

I can't believe it! It's almost Christmas, I only have two more classes before school is over for this semester, and it snowed the whole day long on Friday!!!! It's so crazy weird!!!! So anyway...I can't really remember where I was going with this....Oh well!!!

Christmas Partay!!!!!

Yesterday was our Ward Christmas Party!!! My dad and I helped set up tables and chairs and cover them on Thursday. And if I do say so myself it was amazingly awesome! Our table wrapping skillz wowed all the activity committee personnel so much that they have already booked us for next year! My family got to the party early and we set up the cups, and set the tables with butter and sour cream. It was amazing!!!!!! The primary children's songs were pretty, and Monkey and I scored a babysitting gig!!!! Yay! The kids are so cute! :)

Yay!

It was the last day that Bro. Awesome taught me in Seminary! He made an amazing game for us to play, and it doubled as a game and as a review for everything we have learned!!! It was so much fun! And we got pumpkin muffins for snack! I'm still, however, sad that he's leaving us already!!!!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!

Nooooooo! I got the horrible news today that my favorite Seminary teacher is moving to a new Stake!!!!! I told him that he could leave until the end of the school year, but he said that he didn't think his wife would agree with it!!!!!! I'm horrified!!! What if they call somebody more boring them my other teacher (No offense Bro. Boring)!!!!! I'll be doomed to repeat Freshmen Seminary!!!! I'm sad! :(

My Cooking Is Amazing!!! :)

Yesterday I had my class!!! I got a 95% on my "Gay Marriage Compare/Contrast Paper"!!!!! Yay !!!!! And I got to watch my mom's Symposium speech!!! It was awesomeriffic ! Yesterday afternoon I made a buttload of Sauerkraut cupcakes and two cakes!!! I loved doing it...but I was quite sick of the smell of sauerkraut by the end of my cooking adventure! Oh, and it was my first time ever to make sauerkraut stuff!!!

School, Happiness, 100% In Seminary = Awesomeness!!

So today is the day! My research paper is due, and then I have a final next week!!! The fact that I have two major grades in two weeks is not exactly why I'm happy. I'm happy because after next week I will officially be done with my first semester of college!!!! It wasn't half as bad as I thought it was going to be. I can hardly wait for next semester!!! I find myself looking forward to the new challenges of school, instead of dreading them. Going to school has been an amazing experience for me! My family helps me with so many things. And prayer has become a huge part of my life. I love all the changes that I have gone through since starting in August. It's been awesome! The weather here has been amazingly awesome! And it's the first day of December!!! One of my favorite months ever!!!!! *I also found out today that I can get my perfect 100% (even though I have "flagrant tardies") if I write 3 essays on scriptures that mean a lot to me!!! Yay !*

Venting Anger About Seminary!!!!!!!

Did you know that we get graded in Seminary? My teachers told me the first day of class, but it was a surprise when I got a progress report today! Guess what stinky grade I got...... A 97 %!!! 97 % what is that all about? I know most people would say that it is still and "A " but I want an 100%!!!! Scripture reading/studying is my thing!!!!! I should have a perfect "100%"!!! I have never missed a class in all my Seminary time (3 months), and it's not my fault when I'm tardy! At least I'm honest on the sign in sheet! *insert angry sigh here*

Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!

I sit here and suffer while "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" blast itself into my ears while I cringe, and scream inside. And just when I'm about to unplug the radio and hide the wire until after Christmas, I remember that it really is a wonderful time of the year! I get to go to my grandparents house, spend time with my family, and practice ignoring the annoying repetitious Christmas music that our local channels are already playing. It is wonderful because we are having amazing weather, and it is beautiful outside, and I have been able to sleep with my quilt without sweating in the night! I guess suffering through the stinky music will "build character"!!!! Maybe I'll become one of those crazy (somewhat awesome) people who listen to Christmas music all year because they can't get enough of it......*gasp* I guess I'll try to get my fill now.... Happy Thanksgiving!!!! What are you thankful for?!!!

I'm In Love!!!! With A Fictional Character and A Book!!! (Named Catching Fire/Peeta)

Image
Today was the day...... Today my heart broke into a million little pieces..... Today I screamed so much my throat started to hurt...... Today was the day that I finished Catching Fire !!!!! It was so amazing!! As I said before, there were many parts were I screamed. Though it wasn't all in frustration! I loved it so much!! Yesterday when I was halfway through the book I asked my siblings,"Is it wrong to love a fictional character as much as I love Peeta?" I got five pairs of eyes simultaneously looking at me like was crazy! Yeah....I think they are accustomed to my book reading nerdiness....and screaming, and random laughing at parts I found hilarious, and crying "no Peeta I love you more than Katniss!!!" every few pages. I can't stop thinking about the book, and I'm anxiously waiting for the next one to come out!! I think I'm going to reread it after I finish this semester at school!!!! Love it!! Suzanne Collins did a wonderful job in twisting the s

Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Pimpster-Sun........

Image
A month ago one of my Seminary teachers have everyone in the class a name tag. It said of course our names and what ward we are in. The name card was plain, boring, and it was pitifully ugly. I decided that nothing that had my name written on it could be so lame and like everybody else's so I took it home with me. I armed myself with markers, and a pencil and I attacked that tag until no spot was left uncolored. I'm in love with my name tag's colorfulness!!! I drew a flower, made a colored border, colored in the letters, I even wrote "Be happy" in big happy yellow letters, and I drew a Pimpster-Sun on the front. I must say it was one of the most beautifully creative things that I have ever created. (My Mister Pimp-sun resembled this sun only I drew him fiery orange spiky hair. I think they're related or something.....) I started a trend!!!! Almost everybody in the class started decorating their name tags as soon as they saw how awesome mine looked. I thought

"Hurry Let's Get Out Of Here Before We Catch That Weird Disease That Lauren Girl Has!!!!! Aeeeeeee!!!!"

Last Friday something really embarrassing happened to me, and to make it worse it was at Seminary!!!! Just so you know I love seminary! It's the best, and I learn a lot of new things everyday. So last Friday we were going over memorizing tips for Scripture Mastery, and it was pretty lame. (It was a rhyme thing to help us remember what the scriptures were about.) So I made a rap with it and here's how it went, "*beat box please* Yo, yo. 1st Nephi 3 "Prepares A Way For Me". 1st Nephi 19 "Scripture Likening". *That's right* 2nd Nephi 2 "Adam Fell For You".*point at the people next to you* Word. *random nerd gang signal *" (We have to learn 25 of these scriptures so I only did the first three in my rap......) My friend Cameo was laughing, and laughing at me. And then my teacher decided it was time to do it without our cheat sheets!! This was the first step toward my "crash and burn" moment.... I flipped my cheat-sheet over to fa

My First Dance!!!!!

Image
My first Stake Dance was Saturday night and it was awesomerific !!!!! It was a Quad Stake dance, so I was in no danger of not getting to dance with a boy. You see before the dance I made a long list of boys that I wanted to ask, but sadly it didn't work out well because half the boys on my list didn't show up!!! I didn't let that faze me though, I asked all almost all of the boys in my ward to dance. Then I danced with my friends Jazzy, and Jordan, and we made up crazy dance moves, and invited anyone who passed us to join in. (Everybody declined) We were awesome!!! One of the last songs that the DJ played was The Apache !! I geeked out and at first I was going to get Cameo to dance with me but I couldn't see her anywhere. I refused to stay on the sidelines while amateur who didn't know the Apache butchered it so I ran up front and "danced" the Apache from start to finish, and then at the end everyone jumped as high as they could. It was so much fun!

My Palms Hurt Again As I Write About All The Injuries That Sustained While Rollerblading!!!!

Image
About three weeks ago my mom took my siblings and I to Two Dollar Tuesday at our local Roller Rink. I'm total klutz, so I spent most of my time falling and getting up off the floor before I could get hit. I fell in a lot of ways, and I don't really want to mention them all.......But I will tell you a few: It was about my fourth time around, and I was still scared to death to get away from the wall! I had to though because a couple boys were talking to there mom's so I went a little way and then I fell, as I was falling I tried to make it as painless as possible but somehow I managed to land in the splits. The boys watched me as I landed, and then at the same time they went," Oooo. That has got to hurt!!!" Since I do splits in Kung-Fu it didn't hurt that bad, and because all the other places I'd fallen hurt worse falling in the splits was the best! My mom is pretty good at rollerblading but for some odd reason she asked me to be her partner in the Couples

Thank You......I Guess.....

The other day I started talking to the new guy at Kung-Fu. We both stretched while we talked, and the subject matter was all over the place. In the middle of our conversation he told me about his siblings and then he asked about mine. I told him their names, and went down their ages. Then he asked," So who is the oldest?" When I told him that I was, his eyes got really big and he asked again," You're the oldest?! Oh, well you look like it." I'm pretty sure I looked confused for a few seconds, and then I said," Thank you.....I think." And that was were the conversation ended for that day. The next day he sat next to me doing form practice. He smiled and said," You're Norma , right?" " What????!!!!!" I said internally, and laughed on the outside. I just couldn't believe that he thought my name was Norma !!! Norma ? Seriously?!!!! That's just crazy! It doesn't t even sound like my name!!! Plus I've always said

Due To The Request Of One Of My Favorite Bloggers (Sister Face) I Shall Now Tell You All About My Week At Girls Camp!!!!

*Warning: This post contains a lot of exclamation points, and it's probably not totally grammatically correct! One of the best parts for me is that mom was able to drive us to camp this year!!!! And what made it better was that my friend Cameo rode with us!!!!! I had so much fun singing/talking with my mom, Cammie, and Monkey on the way there, and then showing my mom around camp when we got there!!!! Okay on to the Girls Camp part: Girls Camp was amazing!!! I learned so many things, and since this year we focused on unity I was able to make a lot of friends outside of the 3rd year girls. As I told you in my last post, our theme was W.O.W (Women of Worth). We learned about having “The Hawaiian Spirit” on the first day, and the leaders challenged us to be nice to everyone by smiling and say "Aloha" to everyone we saw. I was pretty much the only girl who did that throughout the whole week!!! And then I took it to the next level..... I woke up before everyone in the mornings

Girl's Camp! Woot!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Camp is in two days and I'm so excited!!! Im our ward we have an awesome camp leader, and she invited Monkey and I over to her house today to decorate camp shirts, and love note jars!! She is totally awesome!! :) Last year Monkey and I made our own camp shirts and so they took the idea from us. (And I got it from my mom!) Our theme this year is on Divine Nature, and Women Of Worth (Or WOW)!!!! Okay, that's all.

A Wise Roach Slayer Once Said," Roaches Must Die!!!" Seriously What Do They Other Then Spread Disease?

Roaches......The most disgusting bugs ever. I learned some new things that I didn't want to know about them today..... You can become allergic to roaches if you inhale, or accidentally eat something with the allergens that they produce. (The allergens come from the roaches poop. Yuck!!!) I can't believe that I didn't use my Roach Slaying powers to kill the four fugitive tree roaches that broke into our house!! Instead of destroying them I took them to our neighbor's yard and said," Go! Live your life, and don't even let me catch you again." And I walked away feeling happy! I was totally going against my Roach Killing nature by doing that!!! I have concluded that those accursed Tree Roaches brainwashed me!!! That's right! Brainwashed!!! I didn't have any desire to kill them, and I suddenly started hating the sight of Raid. (They either brain washed me or I'm slowly turning into a giant tree roach) Thankfully I came to my senses!!!!! I will n

I Don't Look Anything Like I Did In Kindergarten, But My Old Friend Does!!!!

Every year of school I got put in the same class as Clayton. Clayton was my friend so I didn't mind. Clayton called a lot and always said," Mr. Infidel (my dad) may I please talk to Sunbum." He walked over to my house even after I started homeschooling, and asked for me. But after a while he stopped coming. This never bothered me, actually I never thought anything about it until recently. When I say "recently" I mean last Tuesday..... He was riding his bike past our house, and I was having a running competition against Monkey. He watched us as we ran around the front yard and then back, and I expected him to say hi and leave as he always does when he passes. But he didn't. So to break the silence I said,"Hi, Clayton." And gave him a big goofy smile. He looked confused and he asked," Uh, where's Sunbum?" Then I was confused, I furrowed my eyebrows and I said," I am Sunbum." He looked surprised "Oh, you look different.

I Guess I'm Deaf AND Dorky!!!!!

It all started when I was stretching in Kung-Fu. When I stretch I don't think about anything but stretching, so a lot of times I don't realize what's going on around me. That's why this happened to me....... I knew something was up when I saw all the people next to me move to get farther down the bar. Sadly the only thing I that went through my mind was," Man, do I stink that bad? How can that be? I just took a shower!" For about five seconds more it was silent in the room, (the silence should have been a huge sign that there was something wrong) and then I heard yelling! And it was right next to me! I turned around as quickly as I could and there was Master J. and he was yelling saying," You deaf? You not hear? Move over there." And he pointed to a crowded spot on the wall. I made the mistake of looking up, and I saw that everybody in the whole room was watching me in silence. I blushed so hard my arms started to burn, and then I looked at the g

Movie Review On: Race To Witch Mountain

Image
Today I saw Race To Witch Mountain at the dollar movie. I for one was not impressed. The only thing they had against the original movie is that they cast Alexander Ludwig as one of the lead male characters, he's one hundred percent more adorable then the other boy. Other than that the original wins by a long shot, although I didn't particularly like the sequel to it...... This movie had way too many car chases for my taste, and even though I've liked Annasophia Robb in everything I've seen her in; I thought she was a little over the top in this one. The worst part though was in the middle of the movie when they dropped the "Global Warming" bomb. *sigh* Just so you know I rolled my eyes sarcastically at that part. (I recycle paper, and I pick up trash off the street when I can. And I never litter. I think I'm helping the environment by doing that, now stop trying to guilt me!) I have to give Disney a couple points for being subtle about it though.... Out

New Favorite Show, Heartbreak, and One Of My Awesome New Skills!

Image
I admit it! I'm in love with Glee!!! It's funny, and they have lots of amazing singers!!! When my dad came home from work yesterday he said," Sunbum, I saw this show that I think you'll really like." "What is it called?" I asked. "Glee, I think." I clapped my hands and said," I already watched that show on Tuesday!!! I love, love, love it!!!! It's so good." He nodded his head and said,"I knew you would like it." *sigh* I despise being predictable. At the end of the Pilot episode I found out that the whole season won't air until the Fall!!!! I was really sad when I saw that......Then I went and put the Glee version of Don't Stop Believing on my play list, and much to my families dismay I've been playing it nonstop ever since. (I don't like the original song, but their version is really good!) On Wednesday for Mutual we learned knitting. I loved it! I've wanted to learn for a long time, and even though

Writer's Block Is Making Me REALLY Mad Now!!! Gosh, I Haven't Written In Two Weeks Because Of It!!!!!*pout*

Image
This is how I look and feel..... I'm having serious "Writer's Block" right now. I can't seem to write anything without getting a huge headache!!! Ahhh! I really want to write a funny story that happened to me yesterday, and I can't write it because every time I try my head starts to pounding. *SIGH* I think it has something to do with being old.....Or something.

If I Were A Rich Man...Hum...Deh...Dum...Dum.........

First: I would like to thank Monkey, and Nadia for the awesomerific birthday posts you guys wrote me (I love them!), and also all those who wished me a happy birthday!! :) Second: I have a busy, busy weekend ahead of me, so I'm trying to get all my homework done this morning. (Writing is one of the things I have to check off) Tonight I'm going to see 17 Again with my grandparents, aunts, and my uncle. Then tomorrow I'm going to a Christian rock concert with my other grandmother, uncle, Monkey, and Buster!! And Jimmy Needham is going to be there!! Woot!! Jimmy Needham is the Jason Mraz of the Christian Rock World.......Seriously he is! *Note: I'm listening to If I Were A Rich Man from Fiddler On The Roof. (One of my favorite musicals!!!) What is your favorite musical?*

Today I Am Officially OLD!!!!

Image
Yup. That's right today is my 14th birthday. (I was born on 5-5-95!!! Isn't that awesome?!) I can't believe it! It doesn't feel like it's a year since whining about turning 13!! Anyway so my mom made me a delicious birthday breakfast that consisted of: Pancakes (raspberry, and cinnamon), cantaloupe, mini sausages, and hash browns!! It was all so good! And then my brothers and sister decorated my bed so when I woke up I was confused, and they decorated a birthday chair for me!!! I LOVE my family!! Yesterday I was talking to two girls in Kung-Fu named Diana, and Briana (they're sisters) and telling them about my birthday. I kept laughing because they were saying," Girl, you're going to need a walker, and dentures for your birthday presents this year......because you're old !!!" Then all the girls started telling me how old I looked to them. Briana said "15". Caterpillar said "25". And Diana said "400"! I told them I

New Music!!!! Otherside by Mikeschair!!!

The moment I heard " Otherside " by Mikeschair on XM radio I knew I had found a new song to love, overplay, and then finally get sick of!!! Sadly I couldn't find them on Project Playlist , so I had to go to my second source of awesome music..... Purevolume !!! (Note: The video is boring, I just put it up on my Blog so I can listen to it...repeatedly) Otherside

Weird Dream Monday Is Back!!!!!!

Lately I've had a hard time sleeping because the dreams I have are so weird!!! Having A Hero Inside Does Not Mean You're An X-Men- I was in the movie theater with two of my siblings and watching an X-Men movie. About half way through the movie it froze and wouldn't play! Then my dad came into the theater and yelled at me,"It's all you're fault!!! There are professionals that are supposed to play the movie, why couldn't you wait?!!" I didn't have a clue as to why it was my fault so I turned to my dad and said,"I didn't do anything, I have no idea why you're yelling at me but I'm leaving!" I woke up as soon as I walked out of the theater...... After using the bathroom, and finally falling asleep again the next dream started: I was running for my life! People were shooting at me, and I was dodging the bullets. I was wearing the most uncomfortable looking outfit, it was a dress like thing, that was long and really heavy. After ru

What Happens When Daredevils Take On Crafts.......

Image
For the past two weeks I've been eagerly awaiting my chance to learn how to quilt with the women in our Ward!!!! I went with Monkey this morning, and not only did I make a l ap quilt but I also found that I love q uilting !!!!! Because I was thinking so much about quilting I think it was hammered into my sub-conscience mind.........That's the only thing that can explain this dream, or I'm just weird. You choose. The Dream- In my dream I was running in the woods with a pile of fabric in one hand, and a sewing machine in the other. In the middle of a small clearing was a table, so I went up to the table and quickly laid out my stuff and started quilting. I was just a quarter of the way done when something crashed through the bushes behind me, one hand was still sewing while the other was hitting the creature that was trying to attack me. I kicked and hit the stuffing out of the thing, and it left battered and bruised with it's tail between it's legs. I just shook my

13 Is OLD!!!

Happy Birthday Monkey!!! You and your ginormous booty! I love the Spaghettios pig! This is exactly what I was talking about! I would be able to make a real birthday post if I didn't have to delete so many of these kinds of pictures! We both are! No matter how many times you try to deny it! One of the few pictures of just you! Before you were a Kung-Fu person........ I guess a pine needle isn't as good a candle but if the wish you made that day came true it was totally worth it......Oh wait! I'm still here so it must not have worked. :) Wow! You look happy in this picture even though you don't like Smores chips! Don't hurt me for putting this up! *me running to hide* Your new favorite show! Everybody who wants to wish Monkey a "Happy, Happy Birthday" come HERE !!!!!

Ha! I Embarrassed Myself In Front Of Strangers And Now I'm Pretending That I Actually Enjoyed It!!!!!

I can't seem to hold in my craziness/weirdness anytime, but it seems like when I eat it gets worse. So the only thing I had working in my favor when my family went to Golden Corral Saturday was my table manners........ The Good Part: Uh....I didn't eat anything that made me feel sick, and I got perfectly cooked Brussels sprouts. (Ooh. Are you jealous? Yeah, I didn't think so.) The Bad Part: I went up for dessert, and as usual I couldn't decide because everything looked good. After a couple minutes of careful consideration of each option I went with the banana pudding. (It was fresh, and I saw the lady make it. And it looked really good.) So I walked up and the moment I grabbed the spoon the Twinkies slogan popped into my head, and refused to stay inside. I thought that I was safe because I didn't see anyone around me so I opened my mouth and said," Where's the cream filling? Now that's the stuff... Hostess !" I did the voice and everything!!!! I d

Uh....Hi Missionaries......Would You Like To Come Back At A More Appropriate Time?

I have no idea what I ate the day for lunch but it must have been BAD, because I had major bathroom problems every ten to fifteen minutes....... It was about ten minutes before we had to leave for Kung-Fu and I was minding my own business while doing my "business" when Monkey flew through the bathroom door and frantically said,"Sunbum, the missionaries are here and they want to use the bathroom." She had the face she uses when she's messing with me so I just laughed and said," Yeah right Monkey, I'm not going to fall for it this time." "Uh.....Sunbum, I'm not kidding with you, they really are here." " Sure ." Was my sarcastic response. Then Buster opened the door and his eyes were practically popping out of his head as he said,"Get out of the bathroom!!!!! The missionaries need to use it and it's dirty!!!" I knew he wasn't kidding because Buster would never open the door while I'm in there without a

Musical Review Monday Presents: The Opinionated Musical Reviewers Review On The Musical South Pacific!

Image
I watched this musical last Sunday with my mom and the select few of my brothers and sisters who can actually stomach musicals with me. South Pacific wasn't anything special, it was pretty lame to be honest. These are my thoughts on South Pacific The Musical and its "Leading Lady": It was one thousand percent better than the wretched musical Carousel that's for sure. But the leading lady best known for singing,"I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair." was down right annoying. As soon as she found out that the guy she liked had "colored" children she ran crying because she couldn't possibly love a man who had children with a (deceased) "colored" women. That's not the worst part though!!!! On their first date he told her,"You know, I killed a man in France and that is why I am here on this island." What do you think her reaction was? Do you think she was horrified and ran away like she did when he told her about h

Good News, Bad News, And Beans

Bad News: The Art Museum trip was cancelled yesterday due to bad weather. *sniffle* Good News: It's cold again!!! I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am not to sweat when I go outside!!!! Now since I don't have an excuse to skip Blogging I gift you with this story: A couple minutes ago while all my siblings and I were sprawled across my moms bed my sister Monkey started chanting,"Frijoles! Frijoles! Frijoles!" I was puzzled to why she would be saying that repeatedly so I said,"Uh. Do you know that "Frijoles" means beans?" " Really ?" She asked incredulously. "I thought it meant tacos or something....." *me shaking my head in disbelief* Different Story: Caterpillar: That's a bloody lie!! Mom: The lie is bleeding? Me: Yes. It's no longer white.

Sunbum's Collections Of Weird Music Videos!

I'm going to the Art Museum today!!! What does that mean to you? Well, it means that I won't have time to actually Blog anything......That's why I'm going to share some of my favorite songs/videos with you! Enjoy!

I'm Alive!

The camp out = Totally awesome! What I did at the camp out: When I first got there I helped to set up one of the tents. Then we went and I learned how to make two kinds of fires without matches, and how to put fires out. I learned how to cook with a dutch oven, and how to make biscuits in an aluminum box! I gave up smores for dutch oven peach cobbler!!!!! I don't regret it because it was extremely good, but I live for smores and I didn't even make one !!!! *sigh* For the first time ever I almost pulled an all nighter ! I fell asleep about two hours before we had to wake up to go, and even then I was the first one awake and ready to hike. (I was awake because I had to go to the restroom, again...) While sitting around the campfire I told stories about using a Port-A-Pot at an Indian Festival.....*shudder* I don't recommend the experience. I ran to the Port-A Potty a couple dozen times throughout the night/morning. As I was running (for the fifth or so time) I didn't se

Making Taco Salad, Watching American Idol, Getting Packed For An Over Night Camp Out, And Other Fun Stuff That I did On Thursday!

Image
My taco salad didn't look quite like the one above.....It looked ten times better!!! My family thinks that my "taco salad making skills" need work. I can't say that I agree with their opinion though, I mean I didn't miss any of the ingredients like I usually do. So that proves that I'm getting better already. Adam is one of my favorite contestants this season on American Idol, and um.....I love his hair, and the way he dresses. I was so glad that he made it and not Nick/Norman Gentle. I didn't think Nick/Norman was funny I thought he was totally annoying, he did have an okay voice but I could only stand his performances if I just listened and averted my eyes from the TV to save myself from being embarrassed for him....... I have a camp out tonight for Girls Camp certification!!! Usually I pack so much stuff that I can barely lift my bags off the ground, but this time I packed light. I actually packed less then my sister!!!! All of my stuff fit in a ba

Yeah, Well I Got Tired Of Your Name So I Changed It And Stuff.....

Yesterday I got my sword!!! I can't believe I've advanced to Sword Forms already!!! I'm super excited to start, but I'm a little scared of cutting myself while learning! (Just like Cutter-Dude) One of the boys in Kung-Fu named his sword: Picklepimp after the sword that he fights with in his favorite video game. I love the name Picklepimp !! I want to name my sword Picklepimp . I don't think I can live without something named Picklepimp in my life. I think it's an extremely funny name, and I want to steal it from him..... I still haven't found the perfect name for my bo-staff, and I've had it for months! I have a really hard time choosing names, I always want to go back and change it..... What do you think I should name my sword? *I named the skeleton pen I got for Christmas "Killian", I really like that name and I haven't had the desire to change it yet! (That's a record or something!)*

I Hope You Enjoyed The Entertainment Ladies And Gentlemen I Mean: Intimidating Home Teacher Boy!!!!

Yesterday I went to my grandparents house to go and see their new dog. While we were there some of us started playing their Wii, and the rest of us watched a movie. While I was watching the movie my dad walked into the room and said," Connor is here." I couldn't believe what I was hearing so I said, "What?!!....um.... I mean so what? Who cares?" Then my aunt smiled and sweetly said,"Sunbum, will you go and get me a glass of water from the kitchen?" "Uh, sure." I answered. So I walked down the stairs and saw him. I gasped in horror when I found that in fact my dad wasn't lying to me, he truly was there sitting on the sofa where I had just rested my butt on, then I realized that his dad was Home Teaching !!! I pulled myself together and ran past the living room where they were sitting (he was facing my way so of course he saw), and into the kitchen. I fumbled while trying to pull a glass down as fast as possible, and accidentally made a

When Somebody Thinks You're A Boy When You're Most Definitely A Girl Then It's Probably Time To Change Your Look!!!

Last Friday I went to volunteer at the elementary schools Valentine's Party. I had a good time, and the kids were really funny..... 1st Grade Class Party: The first grade classes were doing Valentine Card Scrapbooks for their project. (I liked that better then the " Caterpillar Of Love " thing the third graders did) I helped this one little boy who was uninterested in doing anything other than his Transformers Puzzle Valentine card he had gotten from a friend. As I was "helping" him glue things into his book he looked up and asked,"Why are you wearing nail polish? You're a boy!!!!" I just about fell over in surprise. I looked at the boy, laughed, and then told him,"Well, actually I'm a girl." "Really?" asked the boy. "Yes, really. I promise I am not lying to you!!!" I replied smiling and still laughing on the inside. I finished helping the boy, and then we moved on to the game. You wouldn't believe how many f

To My Friend Nancy Face!!!!!!! (Thank You Edition)

Lately I've been terrible about doing "Thank You Posts"! So I'm going to do one to my friend: Nancy Face !!! The awesomerific Nancy Face has sent me a whole lot of stuff and I still haven't thanked her for it!!! (Please don't think I'm ungrateful, because in truth I really love everything!) First she sent me a huge envelope of candy a couple months ago (I shared.....A bit), and I never Blogged about it because somehow the pictures disappeared or got deleted, and I didn't think my post could be completely without showing how happy I was to open the package and stuff.... On Monday I opened the mailbox and saw my name standing out on one of the envelopes, and then I saw who it was from........ One thing about me is that I love getting things with my name on it, and a second thing is that I love anything Face. Anyway so Nancy Face sent me an adorable Valentine's Day card!!!! (I really did almost pee because I was so excited. ;)) So this is what I have

Yeah, That's Right I Listen To Christian Rock Music.....

Addison Road- Hope Now My grandmother took me to see them yesterday!!! They are one of my favorite Christian Rock bands ever, because they remind me of Paramore (one of my favorite Alternative groups ever...). The video is kind of boring, but I think the song is super pretty. They were absolutely amazing live. And even though the lead singer was totally pregnant she still jumped around the stage, and was energetic. Her voice was also very powerful, she was awesome!!!!

The New Family Pet Is......A Pig?

We got a guinea pig on Saturday, and we named her Ophelia. Guinea Pig = Cute, but not very bright or exciting pet. I like my butt flower sniffing dog better than her......

Even MORE Hair Trouble!!!!!!

Ahhhhh!!!!! I'm so frustrated!!!!!! My mom got me "Nuclear Pink" semi-permanent hair dye from Hot Topic the other day. I asked my dad to help me put it in this morning, and he and my sister did my hair together. We followed the directions precisely, but all the color washed out after an hour of waiting!!!!! *huffy sigh* I'm very upset about this!!!! I think I'm going to dye my hair permanent red like my dad recommended. :(

Weird Dream Monday Returns!!!!......On A Friday....

I had a super weird dream last night, so of course I have to Blog about it! In my dream I was walking in a forest or something and admiring the beauty of nature. As I was walking through the trees a roach ran right next to me and started purring and rubbing against my shoe. Yes, my friends I said purring ! Then when I looked down I saw that the roach was pink !!! But the weirdest part is that I didn't even try to kill it! Instead I bent down and scooped it up and then all these other pink roaches came up to me and wanted me to hold them also. I woke up just as my dream self started whispering to the pink roaches in a baby voice,"Who's the cutest little roach ? Yes, that's right you are, you are." I'm completely disgusted with my dream self!!!!! How could she do that to me? After I woke up I realized that I was thirsty, so I tentatively got out of bed and did a fast pink roach search before drinking, and then again before running back under the covers.

Today I learned how to use pomegranates! You see my mom scored a sweet deal on them at our second home......Kroger! We stocked up on those suckas and brought them home with us! We didn't realize until later that not one of us had any idea of how to eat, cook, or even use a pomegranate. I was then assigned to look up recipes and use them up before the poms went bad. At first I was vigilant, but after two days of failure to find advice I gave up and forgot about them. For some reason I decided today that I was going to: Sew the sofa cushions back together, fix the glorious mushroom chair and make it even more glorious, do something with the pomegranates, and Blog about it all before noon!!! So now I've almost done all those things!!! Okay, so back to the pomegranates.......The first thing I did was google "Pomegranate Recipes" and surprisingly I found exactly what I was looking for. ( Alright I'm not going to go through all of the long grueling steps of peeling, pit

One Of My Most Favorite Books Ever!!!!!!

Image
I read Flipped a couple years ago, and while I loved it I did not fully appreciate it. I've had it for a few days now and I've read it cover to cover, and then went back to read it from the middle where everything starts changing. This book is well written, witty, funny, and it makes you understand what the characters are feeling/going through. All in all I think it's is one of the most amazing books ever!!!!! I have to admit that I wanted a better ending, or a sequel but sadly there is nothing after the last line that reads: "Maybe it's time to meet him in the proper light." *sob* *sniffle* Anyway I highly recommended this book to you guys!

Happy 14th Birthday Cameo!!!!!!!!!

Today is my friend Cameo's birthday!!!! Usually I would just go to her Blog and wish her a happy birthday there, but the accursed Parental Blocks has ban me from it for: "Objectionable content that can only be approved by the administrator". Pshaw, is what I say to that ! "Happy, happy birthday Cameo dear happy days will come to you all year"......*huff* Okay you get the point. I'm going to sing the whole song to you at Mutual tonight. Mwahahah!!!!! (You might want to bring ear-protection gear) :) Come HERE to wish Cameo a happy, happy bday.

I Look Like A Cross Between A Redneck And An Emo Boy!!!!!!!

Good news: I got a haircut!!!! Bad news: The lady did a horrible job. She wouldn't do what I asked her to do and she gave me a flippy mullet . A MULLET? !!! Yes, my friends a mullet!!! To make matters worse I have naturally wavy hair so it flips in my eyes like an emo, and then the long hair in the back makes.....a flippy mullet !!! *shudder* My mom took me back and another lady "fixed" the mess as best as she could but sadly she couldn't do much, and now I have ugly hair. As if this experience couldn't get any worse every time I try to be positive about having a horrible haircut somebody in the house will come up to me and say,"Whoa, your hair looks awful. That lady did a really bad job. *snicker*" Ha! I'll see how you mocking people act after my beautiful brown locks return, and I once again have wonderful hair to swing in your faces. *sob* I'm going to post a picture of my mullet hair later so I can get advice of what to do from you guys!!!!

What Was THAT All About?!

There is a ten year old boy at Kung-Fu that I call "Little Kevin". Little Kevin fascinates me because he reminds me of me (and a bit like an old lady) for some of these reasons: He gets hurt all the time, he is dorky, he never misses an opportunity to complain, and he talks a whole lot. So now that you know a little bit about him I will proceed to tell you what happened on Monday...... I was standing in line and getting ready to do a jump kick when Little Kevin came to my side and whispered in my ear,"That boy over there (a four year old) asked me if I was going to KISS you." " What ?!! Wait... What ?!!" I exclaimed in surprise. I didn't know exactly what to do or say to him so I pushed him away and said,"Kevin pay attention!!! And stop talking!!!" He did what I told him to do, but then he came and talked to me after class......

Is That Sarcasm That I Detect In Your Voice Young Man?!!!!

Boy 1: Oh, well I take theater. Boy 2 (In a confused tone): What's theater? Boy 1 (Sarcastically): It's where they give you lines, and you make it real. *eye roll* Boy 2: Oh.......*blush* Yeah......

Please Don't Judge Me! I'm Only Like This On Days That The Internet Doesn't Work!!

The first time I had ever heard the term,"I work Graveyards" was at my friend Whitney's Blog. When I saw that I thought,"Whitney? Really? I never thought that she would ever work around dead people. That doesn't really sound like something she would do....." I proceeded to think about what exactly you would do if you worked Graveyards and these are the things I came up with: Security guard (to prevent grave robbers from um..robbing), grave digger, and grave robber (No, Whitney I didn't think you were any of these things. They were just ideas). Sadly before I could Wiki it the Internet stopped working. So then I figured that Whitney was a Security guard at the grave yard (that didn't seem likely, but it had a better possibility then the rest), and that was the end of it. I didn't think about it again until I was with my mom and I heard someone else use that term on the radio. I finally decided to ask my mom what exactly "Working Graveyards&q

Me and my friend Martin K. Chillaxing On His Bday!!!!

Image
First of all: I'm pointing at Martin K. I am not holding hands with him!!!! Sorry, that's what it looked like to me...... Anyway . Just look at how happy I am to be with him, I mean he's a famous historical figure and stuff!!!!! (Sadly, Martin K. can not change his facial expressions so he can't show the excitement he's feeling inside to have me take a picture with him!) Martin K. and I go wwwaaaayyy back, to about a year ago......That's a long time right?

Are You As Pretty As A Goat?

Yesterday as we were piling in the truck to go to church I was exiled to the cab of the truck, that of course meant that I had to share booty-space with the "little people". In the short time that I was back there I found out that they all enjoy playing telephone and having weird messages. Mel-Smells weird message was directed to me, her sweet voice whispered into my ear and said,"Sunbum is as pretty as a goat !!!!" "What?!! I don't have a beard like they do!!!" I exclaimed in surprise. Later she told me that she thought goats were very cute, and pretty. So maybe it was a compliment........

Hmmm....Now That I Think About It That Was Pretty Mean!

Buster: Man , that kid is butt ugly! Me: Buster, stop looking at yourself in the mirror!!! Buster: *gasp* Oh, Sunbum that was really mean..... Later after the rest of us had recovered from laughing a pouty Buster stated sullenly to me,"You know I was talking about the boy on the cover of that book on the counter......Wait a minute....You're Blogging this aren't you?!!!" I laughed lightheartedly and proceeded to open Blogger, so I could Blog about it......
