"Holy" Bushes.

I'm so happy! Surprisingly the weather here is perfect, and I love it. Since I want to soak up the sun (no I am not quoting Sheryl Crow!) before it's too hot I have spent many of my precious hours outside like a normal kid. Ha! Like I could ever be normal. Yesterday I went to help my grandmother clean her house, I also did her weeds. Hers are a lot better than ours. *sigh* The worst part though was that all her weeds were inside the holly bushes. I have just developed a strong hatred toward holly bushes, you should see the scratches they give. Yuck!

    Anywhooooo, I have never met a holly bush. All we gots is cacti in AZ but those are pretty prickly as well ;)

    They aren't very hard to pull. Although weeds are weeds, I still don't like them. Sadly her neighbors don't wear pink Van's like mine. *sob* Mine are more popular they always hang out in huge groups. :( *sniff* They exclude me.

    I was really wondering how some weeds could be considered better than other weeds...I'm SOOO glad you cleared that up! ;)

    I hate trimming rose bushes and bouganvillea vines...they have mean, nasty thorns, and I ALWAYS end up scratch-y and bleed-y. I think they like beating me up! ;)

    I know! I had to pick up the vines that my mom cut from her rose bush kind of plant. As I was taking it to the trash it got tangled in my shirt, and I was scratched up really bad. Then I had to go through it again on Wednesday when I took the trash to the curb. It was a horrid ordeal for me. :(

    I sure don't like weeding. I've never been that kinda kid. I would be the one cleaning INside, and then making lemonade for those braving the spiders and the worms... *buuuugh* ew

Words cannot express how much love I feel for Spring Break right now. This picture pretty much sums up how I felt when I got out of school last Friday! It has been a crazy busy semester, so this week without having to worry about assignments and projects has been absolutely fantastic! New York City in the summer is Satan's literal anus. It smells bad and it's hot as hell. In an effort to help people in the city cool down, the fire department opens up the fire hydrants. Many people use the open water as a splash pad or a car wash. I preferred to close the curtains and lay in front of a fan for hours at a time. But to each their own, right? I lived down the street from the 1 Train at 135th and used that train almost exclusively to get to Amelia and Dillon's house. The 1 train was more reliable than the life ruining M11 bus, even though I liked taking the bus to the West Side way more. Thanksgiving Day One!!

Okay, so I have never blogged from my phone before, so this will be interesting! Winter I my favorite time of the year. I love the cold weather, the clothes, the Christmas romantic comedies, and especially the general attitude. I love having an attitude of gratitude. And it seems like during the holiday season other people adopt that point of view as well. One of the most rewarding feelings is when you bring a light into someone's life, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays gives opportunities to do that. For the next five days I will be posting the things I am thankful for!! 5) Over the summer, I decided that I wanted to do a big project for personal progress. I decided on making baby hats for premature babies. Unfortunately, however, I am not crafty, I don't know how to knit, and I fail miserably at every artsy endeavor I have tried.
