Once when I was even more of a Mere Child.......

Once a very long time ago this happened to me. This story is probably old enough to have "Once Upon a Time" in the beginning......I promise!!
The picture above is from one of my least favorite movies otherwise known as Willy Wonka. It's not that it wasn't good, I just didn't like the singing Oompa Loompas and weird chocolate tunnel scenes. I had nightmares about them for months after I watched the movie! Violet Beauregarde was one of my favorite characters from that movie so one day I decided to try what she did to perserve her gum. That's right I stuck it right behind my ear before I went to bed one night. When I arose in the morning I did not remember it so I started my day as usual. Though as soon as I got to the bathroom mirror the memory hit me. You can probably guess what happened next.....First my mom got mad at me, second I was forbidden to chew gum ever again, and last and least painful some of my hair had to be cut off. Just when I thought I couldn't get any dorkier.......

    I CAN'T STAND the newer Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The OLD version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is so much better!

    Gum in hair is never a happy thing! :0

Words cannot express how much love I feel for Spring Break right now. This picture pretty much sums up how I felt when I got out of school last Friday! It has been a crazy busy semester, so this week without having to worry about assignments and projects has been absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately, it's now Thursday and it is almost time to dive back into reality! :( Alright so here are five things that I love at the moment: 1. Sherlock Holmes on BBC!! New York Story: NYC's Version of The Little Mermaid

New York City in the summer is Satan's literal anus. It smells bad and it's hot as hell. In an effort to help people in the city cool down, the fire department opens up the fire hydrants. Many people use the open water as a splash pad or a car wash. I preferred to close the curtains and lay in front of a fan for hours at a time. But to each their own, right? I lived down the street from the 1 Train at 135th and used that train almost exclusively to get to Amelia and Dillon's house. The 1 train was more reliable than the life ruining M11 bus, even though I liked taking the bus to the West Side way more. Thanksgiving Day One!!

Okay, so I have never blogged from my phone before, so this will be interesting! Winter I my favorite time of the year. I love the cold weather, the clothes, the Christmas romantic comedies, and especially the general attitude. I love having an attitude of gratitude. And it seems like during the holiday season other people adopt that point of view as well. One of the most rewarding feelings is when you bring a light into someone's life, and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays gives opportunities to do that. For the next five days I will be posting the things I am thankful for!! 5) Over the summer, I decided that I wanted to do a big project for personal progress. I decided on making baby hats for premature babies. Unfortunately, however, I am not crafty, I don't know how to knit, and I fail miserably at every artsy endeavor I have tried.
