Thank you Beehives!!!!

I just had one of the best mornings ever!!! Last night for Mutual our class decorated Halloween cookies, and delivered them to people in our Ward. Sadly Monkey and I could not attend the activity, so I didn't think anymore about it. At about 7:00 in the morning I got up to make the lunches of my "schooler" siblings. As I stumbled across the kitchen I noticed a plateful of beautiful pumpkin shaped cookies on the counter with my name on it! (Literally) I would like to thank my teachers and all the girls in my class for this!!! It was really thoughtful of you all, and I would like you to know that I really appreciate it!!! I love you guys, and I think you're all awesomerific!!!!!!!

You may now address me as Graham Cracka!!

One day I was teasing one of the girls in my class about being so White and Nerdy , while she was teasing me about being a Graham Cracka! Just as we started to break out some Weird Al awesomeness these two girls came up behind us. We didn't want to completely embarrass ourselves by singing in front of people we didn't even know so we stopped and waited for them to leave. We were just waiting "patiently" when we heard them say this...... Girl 1 : Ow! You pushed me!! Girl 2 : Well you were supposed to stand Steadfast and Immovable ! Girl 1: *giggle* *snort* That was so funny. Girls 1&2: Exit the scene laughing and repeating everything that just happened. White and Nerdy and I turned and looked at each other with our mouths agape. I told her,"I'm sorry but you have just lost your title of White and Nerdy , and I now award it to them ." She said,"I'm going to have to agree with you Graham Cracka ." And then we walked away stumped on what...

Oh, hello there. What fruit are you?

Last week for my Young Women activity we learned how to cook. Apparently cooking macaroni from a box, and frozen tortellini doesn't count as actually cooking. I was sorely disappointed about that. We learned how to cook chicken noodle soup, biscuits, and chocolate-covered peanut butter balls. It wasn't the healthiest meal ever but it tasted good, and the girls didn't lick their fingers while cooking so that added another point to the quality of the food. While we were eating some of the girls were arguing about whether a tomato is a fruit or not. One girl stated in a pompous tone,"Well tomatoes have seeds so that means they're fruits. So I'm right." I turned averting my attention from eating for a second and said," Hm . I'm the fruit of my mothers loins so that means I'm a fruit too! Wow! Isn't that amazing?" Most of the girls fell into fits of laughter, while Ms. Pompous rolled her eyes at me. It was totally awesome.

This is another reason that I hope I move.. very soon!!

Last night we did Karaoke night for Mutual. Before we started singing we had lesson about the importance of listening to good, and positive music. She told me that I shouldn't listen to depressing music. Well that's good to know! Now I'm going to listen to my "emo" play list. After that interesting lesson we started singing. Nobody wanted to sing alone so we went up in pairs. Cam wanted to sing Bowling for Soup's snazzy song " 1985". That was the only song that I knew all the words to so I went up with her. Everyone sang along with us until we got to the part where he talks about her shaking her azz on the top of the car. Guess who forgot to stop at that part? Yup! That's right. Me ! It took me a second to realize what I had said. When I looked around I could see all the girls looking slack-jawed at me. Finally to break the silence Cam said,"You see, this is what happens when you listen to music with bad lyrics. You say things that yo...

That's totally not the reason for my chapped lips!

My Dad told me I should Blog this.... I love the cold! But I always get chapped lips, and hands. So as I was talking to Cam yesterday I mentioned the condition of my lips. When I told her she laughed, and said,"That's because you were kissing with those hot boys yesterday! There are consequences you know!" What?! I exclaimed in surprise, almost dropping my water. She, and her friend Em laughed at my reaction. Then of course I told them about what happened Wednesday. Here's the story...... Buster's activity had been cancelled, so he was just waiting for me to be done with mine. He said that he was wandering around, then our friend Jamie took pity on him, and invited Buster to his activity (video game night!). On our way home Buster couldn't stop talking about Guitar Hero 3. I had to admit it sounded really fun. But after he had settled down he got very solemn, as he told me "Sunbum, when I was walking past the bathroom I passed three different people kiss...

Do the Apache with me!

Next week for our Wednesday night activity we will be doing a talent show. This will include all of the youth.I personally don't really enjoy preforming on stage, but Crazy Cat Lady and I wanted to do something for this. So these are some of the things we considered: Lip synching, interpretive dance (her idea not mine!), or singing a crazy song. My Mom recommended that we do the Apache dance. If you've seen it you will know that it's a very, very crazy dance. One time I watched myself do it in the mirror. It was horrible. I went to her house so we could decide what to do. I asked,"Cam do you want to do Thriller?"She wasn't thrilled at the idea of doing Thriller, but she said she would do it. I was excited to learn that her sister knew it and she was willing to help us. But then I made the mistake of showing her the Apache video on youtube . She absolutely loved it. So now we're going to do Thriller with her sister for her talent, and she's going to do...

Wednesday Night Diamond Poems

Image
This week at our Young women activity we each had to teach a five minute lesson. I was completely stuck. I didn't have any idea of what to do. So I kind of held it off until the day of the activity. On Wednesday I was in a rush to find something fun to teach. My mom told me not to be boring. I had no idea what the other girls would like. So I went to my closet and I found a paper with the poems I've written. Then it literally hit me. I could teach how to write poems that I loved learning and I bet they would too. I was so excited that I had something to teach. I skipped over to my cubby. Yes, I still skip. As I said it's so hard to avoid! I got even happier when I found the instruction sheet for Diamond poems. For everyones information, Diamond poems are my favorite poems ever. I asked my dad to print out copies for me. He had it done in a couple of minutes. Complete with lines to write their poems on. Thanks for doing that Dad! I was the last person to present my lesson, ...
