The awesomest things at Teen Quest!

The following is a recap of Teen Quest last night.....

Teen Quest was awesome! Monkey, and I had a blast. Monkey learned that I never exaggerated while describing the craziness of the home-schooled teens, she was extremely surprised at that. The lesson was on the importance of scheduling, and prioritizing your task so that you'll get things done during the day. They told us that you shouldn't multitask because you can't focus on just one thing. Did you know that there has never been a time where they have disappointed me with their lessons? Yes, it's that good. They totally had me when they brought out the Twinkies in order to put everything in perspective. Ha! I'm just kidding about the Twinkies, I don't even really like Twinkies I only like Ding-Dongs. All that chocolate cake goodness.... Well anyway after it was over I went to talk to my friend Jamie, it's always fun talking him. To make a short story even shorter I had a wonderful time, even though I didn't bring anybody.

Did you know that it takes 15 to 30 minutes to recover from a distraction? Oh my.. I have just discovered that I love writing the word Twinkies.

    I don't know about WRITING the word Twinkies...I'm too distracted about wanting to EAT the Twinkies! All that golden sponge cake goodness...creamy filling...yum!

    Hey! If I send you some Ding Dongs, will you send me some Twinkies? ;)

    I have to completely agree with you. I love them ding-dongs. I like to eat the chocolate on the outside first! Yum!
    I do like Twinkies too, just not as much as ding-dongs, ha ha.
    ...dang, now I want to go buy some..

Last night we did Karaoke night for Mutual. Before we started singing we had lesson about the importance of listening to good, and positive music. She told me that I shouldn't listen to depressing music. Well that's good to know! Now I'm going to listen to my "emo" play list. After that interesting lesson we started singing. Nobody wanted to sing alone so we went up in pairs. Cam wanted to sing Bowling for Soup's snazzy song " 1985". That was the only song that I knew all the words to so I went up with her. Everyone sang along with us until we got to the part where he talks about her shaking her azz on the top of the car. Guess who forgot to stop at that part? Yup! That's right. Me ! It took me a second to realize what I had said. When I looked around I could see all the girls looking slack-jawed at me. "Hurry Let's Get Out Of Here Before We Catch That Weird Disease That Lauren Girl Has!!!!! Aeeeeeee!!!!"

Last Friday something really embarrassing happened to me, and to make it worse it was at Seminary!!!! Just so you know I love seminary! It's the best, and I learn a lot of new things everyday. So last Friday we were going over memorizing tips for Scripture Mastery, and it was pretty lame. (It was a rhyme thing to help us remember what the scriptures were about.) So I made a rap with it and here's how it went, "*beat box please* Yo, yo. 1st Nephi 3 "Prepares A Way For Me". 1st Nephi 19 "Scripture Likening". *That's right* 2nd Nephi 2 "Adam Fell For You".*point at the people next to you* Word. *random nerd gang signal *" (We have to learn 25 of these scriptures so I only did the first three in my rap......)
